Message from the President

I would like to start by expressing a deep sense of honor for having been appointed Representative Director, President and Executive Officer of UNITED ARROWS LTD. on April 1, 2012. Now in its 23rd year since establishment, UNITED ARROWS LTD. has reached a major turning point. After a prosperous period under the stewardship of the Company's founders, Osamu Shigematsu (former Representative Director and President) and Tetsuya Iwaki (former Representative Director and Senior Vice President), the torch is being passed to a management team that is charged with the responsibility of carrying the Company forward. In receiving this most important of mandates, we will continue to channel our energies toward maximizing the satisfaction of customers-a core principle that has underpinned the Company's activities since its foundation. While further honing this concept, we will make every effort to take the next dramatic leap forward. As we look to achieve our established goals, we kindly request the continued support and understanding of all stakeholders.

Note: The Company intends to disclose details on progress regarding efforts to address priority issues for fiscal 2013, ending March 31, 2013, its medium-term management plan and other pertinent information at the time of its announcement of financial results for fiscal 2012, ended March 31, 2012, which is scheduled for May 9, 2012.
